Lessons learned for the United States of America
America learns new lessons every day and they impact us, either strongly or lightly. However, the lessons learned from the attack on Pearl Harbor were very strong and impacted almost everyone. In 1947, President Harry S. Truman had said that the attack may not have occurred if, "if there had been something like coordination of information in the government." He had also said, "In those days the military did not know everything the State Department knew, and the diplomats did not have access to all the Army and Navy knew. " He knew that then, they did not know as much so, he created the National Security Act of 1947. This is only one thing that was done in the many things and laws made for security purposes.
